Luxury bathroom with antique mirror brick tiles and freestanding oval bath, Bromley — Bromley Tiler

What This Covers

  • Wall tiling — full or partial, metro, large format, patterned
  • Floor tiling — porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, slip-resistant
  • Shower enclosures and wet areas including substrate preparation
  • Finish work — silicone lines, grout colour, edge trims
  • Re-tiles — stripping existing tiles, substrate check, fresh start

How I Work

I protect all floors, fittings and adjacent areas before starting. No mess left to find behind the bath.

Every tile is set out from correct datum lines — no slithers at eye level, no tiles cut smaller than half at visible edges.

I finish with clean, consistent silicone lines, uniform grout and a full cleanup before I leave. I will not sign off a job unless I am happy with it.

What Affects the Cost of Bathroom Tiling?

Every job is different. These are the main factors that affect the price — I explain all of them during the quote visit so there are no surprises.

  • Room size — more tiles, more adhesive, more labour time
  • Tile type — large format and natural stone take longer to lay than standard ceramic
  • Substrate condition — walls or floor may need boarding or levelling before tiling starts
  • Stripping existing tiles — removal, disposal and substrate repair adds cost
  • Layout complexity — herringbone or diagonal patterns cost more than straight setting
  • Fittings to tile around — every toilet, bath or basin adds cutting and time

Straight from the Tiler

44 years of craft, City & Guilds qualified. Every job done to the same standard.

"Had the bathroom completely retiled after years of putting it off. Darren was professional from the first visit right through to the final cleanup. Arrived on time every day, protected everything and left the place spotless. The tiling is flawless. Wish we had done it sooner."

Sarah M. Bromley

"Wet room in our main bathroom. Darren was recommended by our builder and it is easy to see why. He walked us through exactly what the job involved before he started, the tanking was done meticulously and the marble tiles are set out perfectly. The result is better than we imagined. Very fair price for the standard of work."

James R. Beckenham via MyBuilder

"We had Calacatta marble laid throughout the master bathroom and en suite. Darren was the only tiler we spoke to who properly understood the material, specifically around pre sealing, the correct adhesive and where the movement joints needed to go. Some of the others we consulted either did not know or glossed over it entirely. The result is exceptional and has held up perfectly. Would not hesitate to recommend him."
